A COCK FOR A CLOCK.

Once there was an old woman. Her husband was dead. Her children were married. She lived alone with her helpers. This old woman was a hard working woman. She was not lazy. She got up with the cock. The cock crowed at 4 o’clock. She woke up the helpers.

Then they began to work. They swept the house and dusted the furniture. They swept the compound and cleaned the garden. They picked the vegetables and prepared the meals. They washed the clothes and then bathed and rested. Again the following morning they got up with the cock. The helpers did not like to get up early.

They thought of a plan.”well get rid of the cock, then we don’t have to get up early-we can sleep till late, they said. So they got rid of the cock. The old woman was sad.”oh,what can we do?”she said. She couldn’t tell the time by the light.

So she woke up the helpers when she opened her eyes.Sometimes it was 2o’clock in the night.Sometimes it was 3o’clock. Often it ws 4o’clock.It was her habit to get up at 4o’clock,earlier.But now it was always before four.”What have we done.” Cried the helpers.”now we have less sleep without the clock.

Morning came-storm gone.

Streets wet-the gloom lingerson.

TRAIN.
Which is better-I don’t know.
To go on a train-Or to see people go!
Which is better-To be inside.
Waving and going-For a vide.
Or to be out side-and waving back.
And watching the train-Speed down the track.
Which is nicer-I think I know.
It’s nicer to watch-Except when you go.

INCREASE OF POPULATION AND OUR ECONOMY.
December 6, 2008, 7:24 am

In an era like this the increase of population will be a great blow an our economy, because nothing will be increased at the rate how the population is being increase.Lands and other resources will be divided and sub divided into small portions. Our agricultural products will be diminished due to lack of accommodations.

The government is going to improve the cuttege industries, local crafes and fisheries industries as a solution to provide jobs for unemployed persons. But it wan”t be a success as all the raw-materials aren’t available in our country.Even if we switch on to new industries we have to get halled of foreign investors.

That also wan’t be a success as Sri Lanka is a war prone country.Even if the produce various kinds of iteam people don’t have enough money to by them. Our country has suffered enough by war an the Tsunami. The world community was rede to grant a large amount of money provided that a peace settlement is carried out by the L.T.T.E.guerillas and the government. But as it didn’t come wring foreign aide was not granted.

As a result of that every citizen of our country is indebted to the world. So our economy has been very badly hit.The government has more money to give employment to educated. One in meant time the price of every iteam is going up.Day by day an in future only the baggers and the affluent category of people will be able to live happily the middle class people will have to suffer.

In time to come at the rate of the increase of population their wan’t be enough food, clothing and shelter for many unless the government sets up of plan to increase the economy of our country.

A: Hello,I raise objection over that judgement.
B; How dare you raise objections like that?

A: As viwers we appreciated the dance of the dancer who was in green costume.
B: We have got down two expertise in that profession for the judgement you see.

A: But they have favoured the one who was brown costume. Her dance wasn’t so good as that of the one in green costume.
B: They have judged not by the dance alone. They have given marks for the smile rythem and variations.

A: The one in green too had all these qualifications and the runner up also should be one red jeans and blouse.
B: One thing we have to accept their final judgement.

A: Please,See that fair play is done in future.
